Lee Cleaveland & The Lefthand Band is a raucous and energetic Detroit based rock & roll band that blends 60's rock, surf pop, and folk rock. Lee began performing under his own name in summer 2017 playing tunes with his guitar & harmonica in biker bars and punk basements. Lee added a full band in April 2018 for the DIY festival StoopFest in Lansing by adding old friends and bandmates Will McPeek on bass and Nick Russo on drums. That summer, the group played five shows at the Traverse City Film Festival and opened for a speech given by Michael Moore. The band has since expanded into a five piece by adding a lead guitar and saxophone.

The bands Self Titled EP  was independently released in April 2019 and record by Mark Stewart at Raydon Studio in Keego Harbor, MI. Throughout 2019 and early 2020, the band played extensively throughout Michigan, the Midwest, and the East Coast.

The bands most recent single I Wanna Die (With You by My Side) was released in April 2020 and was recorded by Rick Johnson at Cold War Studios in Grand Rapids, MI. This infectiously catchy rock song is inspired by the likes of The Rolling Stones and Sam Cooke and features a ripping blues guitar solo, a fat horn section and Green Onions-esque organ line. It's the perfect song to quarantine and chill to and has been featured on Radio 3S Solar Sound System (Paris), Radio Norde Norge (Norway) and Somervalley FM (England).
